Fursona questions

• What is the name of your fursona?

Shitsumon. Yes, that does sound pretty weird in English.

• Where did the name of your Fursona come from?

I've been studying Japanese at a very leisurely pace for a while now, and once I came upon the word shitsumon -- "question". For some reason, this word occupied my mind. Whenever I imagined a situation that I couldn't see myself in, Shitsumon appeared. He was this kind of contemplating character. I thought about putting him on paper, maybe make him a kind of universal character that I could put in any story to give it some kind of meaning to myself. But I was afraid that writing about him would make him lose the sense of him being this ethereal person...thing that could fit anywhere. (I realize this is making less and less sense, but I can't explain it any other way. In fact, I can't quite explain it at all.)
Anyway, a while later I started thinking about getting a fursona. I created a few rejects before I came up with the one I have now, and had to choose a name. The name Shitsumon was on my mind all of the time as it had been for a while by then, but I thought that if I gave him a face, he would stop having this profound meaning that I felt he had. Also, the name didn't feel like it fit at all. Firstly he was male, I knew that. And he was human. My fursona was neither.
In the end, I chose the name Shitsumon anyway because I just loved the sound of it. A few days later, it completely lost its meaning to me.
I miss the old Shitsumon.

• What species is your fursona and why did you choose that species?

She's a wingless gryphon/griffin. I chose that because... I did. I intended to choose a bird since I've always wanted to fly and also because I think they are such beautiful creatures, but I felt the avian body was not quite able to represent the emotion that a four-legged creature could. So I chose a griffin as a compromise. Why no wings? Because... I forgot. Yes, really. I am very absent-minded.

• What color is your fursona and why? Hair/fur/eyes/etc

Her fur is light brown, because my hair is. Her eyes are grey, because my own are grey...ish. They're actually some odd shade of green, but I like to think of them as grey. Her tounge and pawpads are purple because it fit with the other colours. Her beak is inspired by toco toucan beaks.

• What is your fursona's personality and how does this compare to your RL personality?

I dunno. I don't really think of her as a living... thing. She's just an animal that represents me.

• What is one item your fursona owns that is significant to you in RL?

Nothing.

• What is one thing you think you would say to your fursona if you could meet?

"I KNEW IT! GRIFFINS DO EXIST 8D"

• What is one thing your fursona would say to you if you could meet?

"Squawk?"

• How has your fursona changed over the years?

Not the slightest.

• How long have you had this fursona?

Since November last year, sooo... about 4 months.

• Would you like to be more like your fursona?

Being an animal with the mind of a human would be pretty cool, so yeah.

If you consider computer games video games... Probably Half-Life 2 right now. I'm also trying to enjoy Crysis but my darn Vista-ailed computer is making that hard. How can a computer with so good specs play it so badly?

Used to. Not anymore.

Insomniac and Valve. I think.
